If you enjoy communicating and interacting with people, check this position out. You will be receiving inbound calls from people inquiring about their patient accounts, bills, insurance, Explanation of Benefits, etc. You will become an expert on the complexities of the medical billing industry in general, and of medical insurance specifically. You will work within the bounds of very specific guidelines to ensure that patient confidentiality is protected at all times. Previous Call Center experience is strongly preferred. Customer services skills, a clear speaking voice and a helpful personality are required. Also, a fluent command of the English language is required and strong preference is given to those who are fluently bilingual (English/Spanish). Medical insurance experience or knowledge is not required, but helpful. You must have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute. The call center is open from 7 am through 7pm Monday through Friday. The shifts are 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, and 10am-7pm. Later shifts are paid a differential. While shift preference is considered, departmental needs and seniority may override preferences. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. |
